Qualified Residents-in-Training, Fellows-in-Training, Nurses, or Affiliated Medical Personnel will receive a scholarship of $300 toward the full registration fee of $595 to the SLS Regional Meeting.
Delegates of leading laparoscopists will create a unique exchange of cultural information and education in minimally invasive surgical approaches and techniques. This 4-day summit will offer a multispecialty approach to minimally invasive surgery. Expand your knowledge of the use of laparoscopic diagnostic and treatment techniques taught by acknowledged leaders in their respective specialties and countries. Topics are presented in general sessions providing a multidisciplinary approach to specialty minimally invasive surgical techniques and procedures. Understand how different countries have met the challenges of training and practicing minimally invasive surgery. Learn about the cultural differences and similarities between neighboring countries.

To qualify for a scholarship to the regional meeting:

Applicant must currently be a Resident-in-Training, Fellow-in-Training, Nurse, or Affiliated Medical Personnel. To qualify as a Resident, you must be in training in a U.S. accredited training program or, if outside the U.S., you must be a Resident-in-Training within the first five years after medical school degree.

Applicant must fax or mail a statement from your Department Chairman or Program Director (50 words or less) stating that you are enrolled in their program and why he/she is selecting you to attend this conference.

Applicant must fax or mail a statement (50 words or less) stating your training status, specialty, and interest in minimally invasive surgery.
The Scholarship Application Form and statements from Department Chairman or Program Director and Applicant must be received by the scholarship deadline date of November 23, 2009, you will be sent a coupon code to enter when completing your online registration form. This coupon code will apply the appropriate discount to your registration fees. If paying by check, you must download a PDF registration form from the SLS web site, complete the registration form, enter your coupon code where indicated, and mail with your check.
SLS MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE: SLS Resident-in-Training, Fellow-in-Training, and Affiliated Medical Personnel Members are automatically qualified for the scholarship.
