Qualified Residents-in-Training, Fellows-in-Training, Nurses, or Affiliated Medical Personnel will receive:

• A scholarship of $300 toward the full registration fee of $595 to the fall Annual Meeting and Endo Expo.
• Acknowledgement as a scholarship award recipient in the conference Syllabus or final conference issue of JSLS, Journal of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.

This four-day conference will greatly expand your knowledge of the development and use of new minimally invasive technologies and techniques. Sessions will concentrate on the latest advancements in minimally invasive, image-guided surgical techniques and procedures presented by world-renowned experts. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to see the latest products and equipment for minimally invasive surgery on display during Endo Expo.

SLS Resident Members also receive one Master's Class FREE with conference registration. Under the tutelage of skilled and world-renowned surgeons, course attendees will be guided through comprehensive study during one of six full and half-day Master's Classes offered.

Residents may also participate in the competition for the Best Resident Paper Award, presented at the annual meeting, with a cash prize of $1000!

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION for ENDO EXPO 2010:  MAY 7, 2010

To qualify for a scholarship to the annual meeting:

1. Applicant must currently be a Resident-in-Training, Fellow-in-Training, Nurse, or Affiliated Medical Personnel. To qualify as a Resident, you must be in training in a U.S. accredited training program or, if outside the U.S., you must be a Resident-in-Training within the first five years after medical school degree.   
2. Applicant must submit a Scholarship Application Form.  Click here to download the Scholarship Application Form (PDF).
3. Applicant must fax or mail a statement from your Department Chairman or Program Director (50 words or less) stating that you are enrolled in their program and why he/she is selecting you to attend this conference.
4. The Scholarship Application Form and statement from Department Chairman or Program Director must be received by the scholarship deadline date of May 7, 2010.

Once your scholarship has been approved, you will be sent a coupon code to enter when completing your online registration form. This coupon code will apply the appropriate discount to your registration fees.  If paying by check, you must download a PDF registration form from the SLS web site, complete the registration form, enter your coupon code where indicated, and mail with your check.

SLS MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE: SLS Resident-in-Training, Fellow-in-Training, Nurse, and Affiliated Medical Personnel Members are automatically qualified for the scholarship.
